Chu Tehchun (1919- )

French Art Academician, great abstract master. His artworks are really some kind of natural release and a poetic dedication which is dithering and ardent, not restricted by those theories, rules and limitation of visions. By using the persuading lines, he makes his vivid characters appear from his inexact paintings as well as perfecting his fantasies and imaginations.  



Zao Wou-Ki (1921- )

French Art Academician, Zao Wou-ki was awarded the 1994 JAPAN ART ASSOCIATION'S PREMIUM IMPERIAL AWARD OF PAINTING. In his artworks, oils and inks are the ample respiratory system of his paintings, and the contraction of shade and the dilatation of light form its heartbeat; here, the gaze can wander, free of any hindrance. The edges of his paintings are incapable of restraining the expanding universe that each of his works constitutes. 



Chen Yuqiang (1953 - )

Chen Yuqiang, born in 1938 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. He studied how to make prints in printmaking department of Chinese Art Academy in 1906, and now he is professor of this academy, also the member of Chinese artists association and member of Chinese printmakers association.Chen is especially good at woodblock and silkscreen, and recently, he created a new way to make print: he combines the media of silkscreen with the techniques of making woodblock (water colour), which makes his prints have not only oriental characters but also something occidental.
 

Yu Chengyou (1953 - )

The terse sculpt ,the artless color and the texture of his works are all dedicated to its boldness and particularity, its tidy and sonsy personality. As one of the most outstanding print artist on the subject of the barren north, Yu chengyou got prominent award domestic and abroad, like the silver award at the 6th National Art Exhibition just like that of the 13th and 14th, and got Gold Award of China Print Encouraging convention, Japan in 1992.

Sun Jiao (1956 - )

Between her etchings, she likes to choose flowers and vase as her mainly subject. The colour she use is a little dark, but very tender and kind, that you can feel feminine charm. The flowers and vases in her etchings loomed at one cloudy night, and you can smell very sweet perfume when the moon rising. Very poetic and charming!

Hao Boyi (1938-)

Hao Boyi, director of CHINA Artist Association, Executive Director of CHINA etched Plate Society Vice Chairman of Heilongjiang Branch of C.A.A, Vice President of Heilongjiang Engraving Academy, Chairman of Beidahuang Artist Association   


Shi Yi (1939-)

The color he use is artless and pure, it seems like that the colorless of nature has been absorbed by something, but it does exist and can not be seen. Id love to manifest the beauty and charm in ordinary things, and all those which remains as they were even under the attack of modern civilization, and those which have vanished or are about to vanish in the long river of history. And in 1996 Professor Shi Yi got the Gold Award of China prints. 


Wang Bing (1961- )

Artist works in black and white wood carving. His prints do not employ water-based color printing of wood carving, but rather oil-based black and white prints. He is truthfully depicts the sights and colors of the Tibetan people. Wang has his own creative style and approach, he use the language of painting in his print works to create a world of "sun" and "dreams". The black and white visual space in his pictures is filled with solitude, impenetrabili, and mystery.

Ma Li (1937 - )  

  Mountain to me is a book of life.
My parents are all from north plain areas. But I grew up in a small border town surrounding by the mountains in Yunnan province. People living here could see nothing more than mountains.
Zhang Xiaochun (1937 - )  

Member of Chinese Artists Association, Chinese Printmakers Association, Yun Nan Artists Association, his woodblock reduction prints were showed often at national and international exposition, like U.S.A, Japan, Spain and Taiwan.
Zhang Yongqing (1937 - )  

He is an artist and also a geographer, his artworks is a depict of chinese splendid rivers and mountains. Florid style, bright colour, he is specially good at drawing physiognomy, expressing the natural form. And his artworks are full of something wonderful, solitude, mystery and sublime.

Zhang Minjie (1959 - )

It is true of Zhang's works, which have dynamic feelings by images cut off along the edges of the pictures, showing the cnetrifugal space. That accounts for the fact that he did not have elaborate thick frames made for his works, but gave them only small and simple ones. Zhang uses lines as part of his plane works. He portrays each image precisely with his solid and excellent sketching skill, and combines them with each other. The progress lies in reasonable work and accurate calculations. 


Hao Ping (1952 - )

His woodcut works show various different and diversified looks. Heavy color woodcut has been a unique form in his woodcut works, absorbing the technique of rich and thick colors of oil painting and line structure of Chinese painting in combination. And he think, the art form and content is not a kind of simplified problem of who serves for whom, but a kind of consonance, co-existence relationship.  


Li Yitai (1944- )

Born in 1944 in Shanghai, and Li finished his studies in Print department of China Fine Art Academy. And he continued to do researches in printmaking in 1980 and also in French in 1987. Now he is professor of China fine art academy, vice president of Printmakers Association of Zhejiang Province, and also member of China Artists Association.


Chen Long (1971- )

Chen Long said, the colour in the north of china is white and cold, but the people lives there is passional, they like drink, they like dancing and singing, in their heart, the life is hot and colourful, that's why I choose fresh colour in my artworks.


Li Yanpeng (1957- )

The barren loess slope, docile goats, lonely little tree, those North Country landscapes full of field sentiments that appeared often in Li's artworks are language symbols and spiritual carriers of his woodcuts. During the period that art never flourish so much, there is maybe nothing greenness or vogue, but Li Yanpeng cuts with all his heart, his passion, give these landscape a new life and special meaning. The creation <Warm winter> and <On the Field> won the favors of many collectors and exploited a new field of the waste-block prints.


Jin Baoping (1956- )

The artist lives in Xi'an, the ancient capital of China. He creates his horses in his imagination, natural, simple and austere. Powerful line, somber background, we can feel vitality and high speed of his horses which gallop from remote ancient to today. Time went by quickly, but during so long time, only one thing left, we can find the answer in Jin's litho. In 2001, Jin won the prize "Bridge" at the second Chinese-Japanese Fine Prints Exhibition.


Lü Min (1962- )

A splendid world of fairy tale, vivid colors, lovely characters, distinct plants of the rainforest, Lü Min showed us such a beautiful world with her tenderness and warmth, we can feel the mother love, and even want to return back to the childhood. Sometims, she melt a little sadness with blue color, a typical Chinese girl, lovable and affecting.



Fang Limin (1964- )

1964 Born at Qu zhou city of Zhejiang province

1989 Graduated from the education department of CNAFA

1999 Graduated from the printmaking department of CNAFA, won the postgraduate degree and worked at CNAFA as a teacher. 



Shen Minyi (1941- )

Shen Minyi was born in 1941 at Suzhou city, he was engaged in creation of woodcuts and Chinese traditional paintings. Now he is member of Chinese Artists' Association, Chinese Printmakers' Association, National painter of first grade, Director of Wu Zuoren art museum, vice-secretary-general of Jiangsu Printmaker' Association, and vice-president of Suzhou Artists' Association.



Ling Junwu (1960- )

Ling Junwu who was born in 1960' at Suzhou city, lives in Jiangsu(one of Chinese province at the reach of Yangtse River) culture atmosphere and is very familiar with the art style of Jiangsu Shuiyin woodblock (woodblock printed with soluble inks). In some meanings, he was growing up with the developments of Jiangsu Shuiyin woodblock, and when he entered into this art career, he chose without any doubt this kind of art expression.



Pan Yuyu (1944- )

Pan Yuyu, was born in 1944 at Suzhou city, Jiangsu province. He graduated from Suzhou Arts and Crafts College in 1962, and he continued his study at Central Arts and Crafts College in 1968. From 1980, he began his art creation at Suzhou Taohuawu New Year Print Institute. In 1984, he set up a research studio of Suzhou woodcuts, and in 1992, the Suzhou woodcuts Institute was founded, Pan was the director. Now he is member of Chinese Artists' Association, director of Chinese Printmakers' Association, high grade painter of Jiangsu Printmakers' Association and vice-president of Suzhou Artists' Association.

 



Chen Yuping (1947- )

The Eulogy of Spring depicts spring scenery that world is reviving, snow and ice are melting, and trees are budding. Teams of wide goose migrated back from north are flying and convoluting along with the torrential river. The bright sunshine illuminates all things on the vivid field.The picture features the unique sight in northern China, broad, splendid and gutty, resembling a piece of spring symphony.

 

 



Wang Zhaoliang (1944- )

Wang Zhaoliang was born in 1944 at Huangshan city of Anhui province. Now he is member of Chinese Printmakers Association, member of Artists Association of Anhui Province and painter of Jiangdu Art Institut. He is especially good at Chinese traditional painting and woodblock. After 1983, more than his 500 artworks were published in provincial and national magazines. His artworks were showed in many national and international expositions and were collected by art museums and art collectors from USA, UK, Japan, Tai Wan and Hong Kong.


Dai Bin (1948- )

Daibin was born in July 1948, in the south of Anhui province. He graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Maanshan Teacher's College. Presently, he is a professional artist and a member of the Chinese Printmakers Association, and a representative of new Anhui-print school.


Chen Hao (1955- )

Chen Hao, born in Oct.1955 in Xinjiang. Graduated from Central Fine Arts College majored in Printmaking. Member of Chinese Artists Association. Professional artist in Xinjiang Fine Art College.


Zhang Xianghui (1976- )

He was born in 1976, Henan Province. Currently,Zhang is the vice-secretary-general of Chinese Oil Painting Association Hainan Branch and off-staff editor of "Chinese Fine Art" Magazine.


Zhang Biao (1971- )

May, 1971 Born in Nanyang, Henan.
Sep, 1986-July, 1989 Studied in the Nanyang Second vocational secondary school, majoyed in fine art.
Sep, 1990-July, 1992 Attended in advanced printmaking studies in Tianjin Academy of Art.
Sep, 1992-July, 1996 Studied in printmaking department, Tianjin Academy of Art and obtained the Bachelor of Arts.
Sep, 2003 Assiduously studied on a Master's degree in printmaking.
June, 2006 Proceed to the degree of M.A.
July, 2006-Present Being a teacher in Tianjin Academy of Art.


Tan xiaoni (1973- )

1973 Born in Guilin Guangxi Province 1999 Graduated from Printmaking Department, China National Academy of Fine Art 2007 Incumbency graduate student of Printmaking Department of China National Academy of Fine Art, Gained the Master Degree. 2004-Present Teaching in China Academy of Art


Zhu rui (1970- )

1970 Simao city in the very South of Yunnan province. In 1992 he graduated from the Art Department of Yuxi Normal School of Yunnan province.
