Thoughts on my creations(Gu Zhijun)

I have worked on traditional woodblock prints for many years. In recently years, I have adopted a method of expression in my artworks, composing a illusory world by combining traditional technique with modern elements£¬which implies the change of life and the development of the times. And it also reflects that we are sentimentally attached to the traditional culture and the passion of the life. I prefer a kind of simple and pure life when pursuing traditional culture and modern ideals.

Nowadays, I should face to my living conditions. I will throw myself into the creations with a kind of ordinary feeling, trying to express my understanding in my works. No matter how hard it is, the course of the woodblock printmaking makes me feel more excited than the result. This kind of physical experience is very tired, but the mental condition is free and easy. It seems that my dreams will come into reality. In my artworks are embodied my painstaking work and my inspiration.
