Zhang Guilin

Zhang Guilin was born in 1951 in Beijing. In 1974 he began his studies of printmaking techniques at CAFA (Chinese Academy of Fine Arts) which represents the highest level of printmaking in China.

Because of his outstanding art talent, he became teacher in this academy after his graduation. In 1980 Mr. Zhang established the first silkscreen studio in China. From 1990 until 1991 he studied in Europe at the Madrid Art School. During his studies in Madrid he received the possibility for wide travels in Europe on invitation of the Madrid Art School.
