Wu Enqi

Touching Wu Enqi is not from his artworks. When Wu was 50, his lover Shan Dan wrote a story about him, unromantic but true. Such a forthright man put all his feelings to the grassland and the love in his blood to his artworks.

Wu Enqi's artworks are massive and beefy, they are all about the grassland. He went to the grassland for sketching, he sucked the smell of mutton, drank together with the herds, sang Mongolia songs and drunk together. When he joined Nadamu Festival, he would draw the galLoping horses, white sheep and beefy wrestlers and old mothers. He let himself melt into the grassland and his artworks. The grassland is his desire, is his prays, he hope the green, the harmonious and the good entironment will be there forever as he loves his hometown and his career.
