Hao Boyi
Hao
Boyi works in the north for some tens of years, bivouacking on the
wasteland, but he enjoys the pleasure of the creation, because he
loves deeply this earth and the people lives there. Whether the
artwork of his early period or current period, they took root of
this earth, full of the folklore color. The sincere love for this
earth, gives him the spirit of creation, as Hao Boyi says: " I feel
strongly the life, it makes me present the life go on with its own
rhythm, the life calls me create ceaselessly, and my creation can't
leave this headspring of life."
Biography
Hao
Boyi, director of CHINA Artist Association. Artist of Northeast of
China, he absorbed the technique and style of Japanese modern
woodblock. He likes drawing birds, bears and the poetic landscapes
of his hometown in order to express his love for that native land
that is very wild and capacious. The colors he uses is very clear,
bright and vivid, with the natural lines of wood, all this create
his style very pure, simple, but we can imagine a lot. That's we
say: Less is more.

- The artist took a refresher course in Luxun Academy of Art in
Shenyang city.
1986
- Copper Prize of the National Art Exhibition, the Excellent Works
Prize of the National Engraving Exhibition and a first prize of the
Suzhou Water Color and Woodcut Invitation Exhibition.
1988
- Gold medal of Japanese-Sino Art Exchange Center.
1990
- Gold cup and silver medal of Japan-China Art and Crafts
Association in Japan.
1990
- his expositions "North-China Amorous Feeling - Hao Boyi Engraving"
and "Natural Feeling - Haoboyi's Engraving Exhibition" were held by
Inspiration Art Gallery of Hong Kong
1991
- Hao Boyi Engraving Exhibition was held by Shenzhen Art Gallery and
also held by Suzhou Artist Association
