Li Yitai
Li Yitai was born in Shanghai in 1944, where he
studied arts at the China Fine Art Academy, after his graduation, he
left and became a professor in this academy. In 1987 he went to
France to intensify his studies in printmaking. He is presently
professor at China Fine Art Academy, vice president of Printmakers
Association of Zhejiang Province and also a member of the China
Artists Association.
His artwork <Lu Xun> was selected to show in
“Chinese Painting Art Exposition?organized by UNESCO in 1980.
Artwork <The philosophy of Marxism> was selected to show in “Spring
Salon?in France (1982). Artwork <Lakefront> was showed in
“International Peace Year Exposition?organized by UN in 1986.
<March of Jiangnan> and <Darn the fishnet> were showed in
“International Print Exposition?in Ljubljana of Slovenian. <Hope>
was showed in “International Print Exposition?in Portland and won
prize. Li had his first solo exposition in 1997 in Sichuan Art
Museum.
His artworks have been collected by art museums
in Japan, the U.K. and the United States of America. <Tide> was
collected by Chinese Fine Art Museum and <On the side of Jialing
River> was collected by Grand British Art Museum.
